1099-NEC Parser is optimized for the NEC form. For 1099-MISC and other variants, see 1099parser.com.
Form 1099-NEC reports nonemployee compensation. For payments made in 2026, the general federal reporting threshold is $2,000; it was $600 for payments made before 2026 and is inflation-adjusted after 2026. Backup withholding and other exceptions can require reporting below the threshold.
Yes. The parser keeps box1_nonemployee_compensation as the stable API key for Box 1 on 2020-2025 forms and Box 1a on 2026 forms. For 2026 forms it can also return optional Box 1b cash tips, up to two Box 1c Treasury Tipped Occupation Codes, and Box 1d qualified overtime compensation when those values appear.
Supported 1099-NEC files from gig platforms can be submitted, but layouts and years vary. Test representative Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, Upwork, Fiverr, or other payer forms.
